The History of Towage in the port of Fowey

The History of towage and the tugs in Fowey falls into two parts. The first from the beginning of the commercial port in 1869 through until The Fowey Harbour Commissioners took over the towage in 1961. The second part is the history since then. This is covered in two chapters as set out below.
